During the evaluation appointment, we will conduct a comprehensive assessment of your child’s speech and language skills. This may involve observing your child’s communication skills more informally through play, discussing your concerns, completing formal assessments, and developing a tailored therapy plan. The session usually lasts about 60-90 minutes.
An evaluation is required if the child does not have an existing speech/language evaluation from within the past 12 months. You may provide a valid existing EI evaluation, IEP evaluation, or other private practice evaluation to us in place of our evaluation.

The duration of therapy sessions can vary depending on individual needs, goals, and age. Sessions range from 30-45 minutes.

Typically, therapy sessions are scheduled once or twice a week, but this can be adjusted based on individual progress and recommendations from your speech therapist.

Yes! Silly Goose Speech Therapy, PLLC proudly accepts both Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice as well as Cigna Healthcare plans at this time.
Our speech therapy services are also provided on a private pay basis with a discount, meaning payment is made directly by you at the time of service either by credit card or HSA card. For those who do not have BCBS or Cigna insurance, we understand you may have out-of-network benefits. To assist, we offer courtesy super bill services, in which our company will create a detailed statement for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. This ensures you can take advantage of any out-of-network benefits your plan may offer while making the process as smooth and easy as possible for you.
-
If you feel more comfortable, you may call to find out your out-of-network benefits and submit the claims; however, at Silly Goose, we strive to make this process as stress-free as possible for you. We are happy to call and find out your benefits for you and will provide you with a superbill after each session for you to submit to your insurance.
