Independent Educational Evaluations
At Silly Goose Speech Therapy, we specialize in conducting Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) in speech and language for school districts and families seeking an objective, expert perspective.
An IEE is an evaluation performed by a qualified professional not employed by the school district, typically requested when there are concerns or disagreements with a school’s initial evaluation. These assessments play an important role in helping determine whether a student needs specialized support and what type of services will be most effective.
Our licensed speech-language pathologists provide thorough, individualized evaluations that address a wide range of communication areas including:
Articulation and Phonology
Receptive and Expressive Language
Fluency (Stuttering)
Pragmatic/Social Language
Functional Communication and AAC System Effectiveness
We’re committed to offering clear, evidence-based insights that help school teams and families make informed decisions about a student’s educational plan. Our evaluations are always student-centered, data-driven, and designed to support collaboration between schools and families.
Short-Term Contract Therapy Services

With experience stepping into established caseloads, we prioritize a smooth transition by quickly learning district procedures, collaborating with team members, and maintaining compliance with IEPs and documentation requirements. Our goal is to minimize disruption while delivering consistent, student-centered care.
Short-term coverage options include:
Temporary gaps between permanent hires
FMLA or medical leave coverage
Maternity/paternity leave
Extended absences or unexpected vacancies
Flexible scheduling and rapid onboarding options are available to meet your district’s needs.
AT Specialist Services
We provide Assistive Technology (AT) support to help students access their education, communicate effectively, and participate more fully in the classroom environment. Services are tailored to each student's unique needs and may include consultation, assessment support, device trials, implementation planning, and collaboration with educational teams.
As a speech-language pathologist with experience in AAC and communication supports, Shelby works closely with educators, families, and related service providers to identify appropriate tools and strategies that promote student independence and meaningful participation across school settings.
Whether a student requires low-tech supports, AAC systems, or other communication-focused technology, our goal is to ensure that assistive technology is successfully integrated into daily routines and educational programming.
